Left Bariloche and journeyed by bus along the jaw-droppingly beautiful Seven Lakes Drive to San Martin de los Andes which is nestled with its own beach at the end of a long glaciated valley.
The lakes here are stunning with crystal-clear water and clean enough to drink, straight off the Andes with abundant bird and fish life and hardly a soul in sight. After the safety brief, we powered off enthusiastically and the guide asked us to slow down, saying however that we were "muy impresionante!"
